Orlando Lucero's livestock operation in New Mexico is threatened by shutdown because the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has declared the meadow jumping mouse to be an endangered species. The Daily Caller reports the U.S. Forest Service is considering putting up 8-foot fences to protect the mouse, which would prevent the Lucero family's livestock from grazing.

Cash-strapped students at American colleges and universities where Hillary Clinton spoke are outraged that she was paid a total of $1.8 million for eight speeches. An April speech at the University of Connecticut netted her $251,250. The taxpayer-funded school has just raised tuition costs by 6.5 percent, reports the Washington Post. Students complain that the money could have been better used for scholarships and research grants for students.

Guess who the rumor mill is speculating might be a potential candidate for president in 2016? Mark Halperin, senior political analyst for Time magazine, says environmental activist Al Gore has a better chance of beating Hillary Clinton in a Democratic primary than any Republican has in the general election. Gore served as Bill Clinton's vice president.
