Those who say the immigration crisis at the southwest border is President Obama's "Katrina" are flat-out wrong. Hurricane Katrina was a natural disaster. The flood of illegal immigrants into this country is a man-made disaster. And the man is President Obama, whose open invitation to people of other countries combined with border security like swiss cheese opened the flood gates. He did it to please his liberal base, who have visions of thousands of new Democrat voters. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., revealed the Democrats' strategy when she went to the border in late June and said, "We have to use the crisis ... as an opportunity ..."

"For $8 million, we can put them all on a first-class seat back to their homes." - Sen.Tom Coburn, R-Okla., ridiculing President Obama's request to Congress for $3.7 billion dollars to deal with the crisis as "the wrong approach."
