Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was quick to denounce Donald Trump's proposal to erect a wall on the Mexican border, and now he's feeling the heat for building a large wall on his $20 million, 700-acre property in Hawaii. He's not reacting with a happy face.

In a joint campaign appearance, Hillary Clinton said of Elizabeth Warren: "I do just love to see how she gets under Donald Trump's thin skin." No big deal. Anyone can easily get under Trump's skin.

One of the most outrageous findings of the House Benghazi Committee was that U.S. Marines ready to respond to the 2012 terrorist attack on the Libyan diplomatic post wasted three hours changing from uniforms to civilian clothes four times on orders to be "politically correct." Four Americans died as a result.

Conservative columnist George Will is leaving the Republican party, but the GOP still has Bo Derek, LL Cool J and Larry the Cable Guy.

President Obama raised money for Democratic  causes in California and Seattle, Wash., during a three-day trip to the West Coast. For his weekend of politicking he traveled in Air Force One at $206,000 an hour.

CalTexit? The British vote to sever ties wih the European Union has invigorated secession movements in California and Texas. Some cynics believe America might be better off without those two states anyway.

The Clintons have a new grandson. He has his grandfather's smile and, unfortunately, his grandmother's laugh.

"Our most effective response to terror is compassion, unity and love." - Attorney General Loretta Lynch. So much for "blood, sweat and tears."

Donald Trump put aside name-calling long enough to say, "I think we win on issues and policy." And money, if he can raise enough.

Political winds are blowing. Obama administration reverses politically-motivated decision to doctor transcripts of Orlando killer's phone calls to remove references to Islamic jihadist terrorism. Slipping behind in the polls, Donald Trump fires his campaign manager, Corey Lewindowski.

"It takes a humorist to figure out what the FBI needs to defeat ISIS in America. The FBI is understaffed and needs an affiliate partner. I call it Budinski Inc. Budinski hires nosey neighbors and gets them out of your neighborhood and into neighborhoods with predominantly Middle Eastern families." - Rose A. Valenta

GMMB Inc., a powerful Democratic media consulting firm that is working for Hillary Clinton's campaign for president, received $14 million worth of contracts awarded this year by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Washington Free Beacon reports.

Bernie Sanders says he's still an "active candidate" for president.  Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is said to be changing his mind about not running for re-election. Is anyone surprised?

For years Secretary of State John Kerry has insisted that climate change is the biggest global threat of our time. Guess what? He's changed his mind. He now says the threat of terrorism around the world is bigger.

Who're you gonna believe?
President Obama paints a rosy picture of the U.S. fight against radical Islamic terrorism (he shuns that term, referring to it as "ISIL.") But Director John Brennan said in Senate committee testimony "despite all our progress against ISIL on the battlefield and in the financial realm, our efforts have not reduced the group's terrorism capability and global reach."

A former mayor of New York got tough on what people could eat and drink. In contrast, the current administration is relaxing the rules on other human activities. Mayor Bill de Blasio has signed a law limiting the punishment for such offenses as littering, public drinking and public urination.

Vice President Joe Biden spiced up a "United State of Women" summit in Washington when he said that during Senate debate on the Violence Against Women Act, "I said if a woman in this audience got up, stripped down, stark naked, and walked over to the United States Capitol, she has a right ... but no man ... has a right to touch her."

Taxpayers face another hit under a new Obama administration proposal that would ease the process for student loan forgiveness. It is estimated to cost up to $42 billion over the next decade.

A headline writer took some liberties and had some fun with a tweet by Hillary Clinton related to the Orlando terrorist killer. "If the FBI is watching you for suspected terrorist links, you shouldn't be able to just go buy a gun..." she tweeted. A story on mediaite.com was headed: "Hillary Clinton: Those Under FBI Investigation Should Be Presumed Guilty."

Some will be more privileged than others at the Republican convention in Cleveland ... if you're accustomed to "happy hour." An official said alcohol will not be sold inside the arena, but "very high-level officials" (the GOP congressional leadership and some donors) in "hospitality areas" will not go thirsty.

Having just received a strong endorsement from President Obama for her run for the White House, the presumptive Democratic nominee felt compelled to distance herself from her No. 1 fan after the Orlando mass murders. Obama steadfastly refuses to apply the term "radical Islamist" to ISIS and other Jihadist terrorists. But Clinton, challenged by her opponent, Donald Trump, readily said she's comfortable saying the U.S. is battling "radical Islamism."

Bernie Sanders is sounding a lot like Donald Trump, trying to get the best "deal" in return for his support of Hillary Clinton.

Texas billionaire Mark Cuban rejected an offer to run as a third party candidate against Donald Trump but it appears he still wants to be a player in this year's presidential election. First he has to make up his mind where he stands. In an interview with Fox's Stuart Varney Cuban offered to be the running mate of either Trump or Hillary Clinton.

Twitter users saw a good putdown when Hillary Clinton tweeted to @realDonaldTrump "Delete your account." Republican National Chairman Reince Priebus tweeted back: "If anyone knows how to use a delete key, it's you."

The State Department is perfectly willing to release emails from top aides to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in response to a Freedom of Information Act request, but there's a catch: a spokesman, Mark Toner, said it will take 75 years. Pressed for an explanation Toner referred the questioner to "the court filings."

Hillary Clinton, now the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, is prone to send mixed messages in her campaign appearances. In a speech focusing on income equality she deplored the impact of the poor economy and the plight of "many people who are still hurting" ... all the while wearing a $12,495 Armani jacket.

The Washington, D.C. City Council has approved raising the minimum wage to $15, following New York and California for the highest in the country. The action was taken despite a finding that nearly half of D.C. employers said they have either laid off or reduced hours of employees to adapt to minimum wage hikes since 2014.

Donald Trump may be the first presidential candidate in history to feel compelled to defend his anatomical features. After being accused by Hillary Clinton of being "thin-skinned", Trump declared on CNN, " I have very strong, very thick skin. In earlier skirmishes, Trump rebutted Marco Rubio's charge that he has "small hands."

"The warning bells are just going crazy. They're screaming at us." - Secretary of State John Kerry, calling for urgent action to reverse the effects of climate change. Sorry, John, the scandals caused by your predecessor, Hillary Clinton, that are rocking your department are drowning out everything else.

Is it any wonder our national debt is so high? The Government Accountability Office reports that 136.7 billion dollars were spent by federal agencies on "improper payments" during fiscal 2015, adding that the actual total was likely higher.

One thing that President Obama didn't mention while bragging about his administration's economic recovery: A new jobs report reveals U.S. hiring fell to its lowest level in five years.

House Speaker Paul Ryan removed one of the most repetitive questions asked by the media when he allowed as how he'll vote for the presumptive Republican nominee for president, Donald Trump. "Is that an endorsement?" the media persisted. "That speaks for itself," said a Ryan spokesman.

ABC's Tom Llamas, the reporter Donald Trump called a "sleaze" during a press conference apparently doesn't hold a grudge - or at least conceals it if he does. Llamas, on "Good Morning America", defended Trump's supporters, saying they had nothing to do with violence outside a rally in San Diego.

David French. He's the man Bill Kristol and other NeverTrumpers is being eyed to run as a third party candidate in the presidential race. He's less known than the man Ross Perot picked as his running mate for his first run for president as an independent in 1992. Perot won 19 percent of the popular vote.

Donald Trump wrote "The Art of the Deal" but apparently never read Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People." To wit: insulting members of the national press (that made him a media star) and attacking Republicans (he claims to be one) like New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez because "she wasn't nice."

Will President Obama become a weather forecaster after he leaves office? He is predicting global warming is going to bring "more powerful and more devastating" hurricanes to the U.S. Let's hope that multi-million-dollar mansion in Washington the Obamas are going to live in after January has a storm shelter.
