Donald Trump is trying to persuade African Americans to become Republican voters. Many of Trump's supporters wish he would shore up his Republican base before seeking to steal votes away from Hillary Clinton.

President Obama got in one more round of golf, then got ready to return to Washington from his two-week vacation at Martha's Vineyard. He plans to visit flood-ravaged portions of Louisiana on Tuesday. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump got the jump on Obama by touring the state's deluged capital on Friday.

There's nobody like Donald Trump.  Or at least it must seem that way to Hillary Clinton. She can't find anyone to stand in for her Republican opponent as she prepares for the upcoming presidential debates.
