President Obama is conducting an intense campaign to help Democrats retain control of the Senate, but he's not getting much help from his wife. First Lady Michelle Obama, is said to be miffed because Senate Democrats have not been very supportive of her crusade to end childhood obesity, reports the New York Times. She made an appearance for Michelle Nunn in Georgia, but did not plan to go to three key states: Arkansas, Louisiana or North Carolina.

A top chef is turning up the heat on President Obama for policies he says will drive restaurants out of business. Emeril Lagasse, blaming "Obama nonsense" for a grim future for mid-level restarauteurs and cooks, said "the government should stay out of things." Personally, he says, "I have nowhere to go, really -- other than broke."

Barack Obama, who has absolutely no experience in business (or anything else but academia, community organizing and politics), has taken to giving advice to business owners. At a steel plant in Indiana, the general manager complained about "a double-digit increase in health-care costs" because of Obamacare. The president snapped back, questioning "whether you guys are shopping effectively enough."
